Qigong
(Pronounced Chi-gung) is a slow Chinese martial art focused on healing the body, emotions and mind. "QI" means energy/life force & "GONG" means practice/cultivation. Qigong gives you the same results as receiving an acupuncture treatment without the needles!
During your lesson, you will learn moving meditation (Qigong) and if time allows, one or more of the following: sitting guided meditation through visualization, walking meditation, breath-work & Healing Sounds.
Our technique makes Qigong easy to follow along. Steps involve controlled movement in conjunction with deep breathing, which helps balance the body by oxygenating the blood, improving circulation and reducing stress.
With this powerful combo, you can get healthier or maintain wellness. Some practitioners claim they have totally healed themselves or reversed their disease/ailments! Studies have shown regular Qigong and meditation practice will reduce stress and lower blood pressure. Practitioners state Qigong also improves respiratory, digestive, cardiovascular & lymphatic functions, immune system, balance, strength, energy levels, productivity, focus, confidence, metabolism and encourages weight loss.

Meditation
Sitting, with Visualization focused on Healing Sitting comfortably with eyes closed, the student will be directed to breathe deeply and slowly, relaxing the physical body. The instructor will continue to offer visuals to send healing heart-spaced energy to an area of your body that needs support at that time. In a longer session, we will practice sending healing energy to others. Walking Meditation The lower body is focused on walking mindfully and slowly in a specific way to promote grounding. The upper body uses Qigong moves to increase health benefits. |
Breath-work
Curious about what it feels like to get high without drugs and have it actually be HEALTHY for you? Can be practiced sitting in a chair or lying down, propped up on elbows. This is a very powerful practice that bumps up the oxygen in the blood. Viruses and cancer cells hate that, so let's practice this on a regular basis! Has been known to help those afflicted with PTSD.
Healing Sounds
Using color, sound and movement, we practice releasing emotions that don't serve us (such as anger, fear & worry), so we can make room for emotions that help us find happiness, balance and peace.
Transformational Qigong is for all levels & body conditions. There are no limitations to performing Qigong. People have received benefits by practicing Qigong sitting in a chair, wheelchair or even lying down in a bed.
